Ohh La Las Vegas

Alright, so my sister landed yesterday in Las Vegas. I will be going to be going to visit her today. :)

Driver's License

Wahoo!

I now have a California Driver's License. It arrived in the mail today, and I already memorized the number. :)

Only one wrong

The power went out, they said I could go home, the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze blowing from the west.

I got out, went into my car, went home, and got the map to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)

I drove there, got in line, filled a form, got a ticket, talked, signed, and signed some more, had my thumb digitally scanned, took a picture, took a test, missed one question, and got a paper.

I went to the DMV to get my Drivers License. It should be arriving in the mail shortly.

I'm happy, and the visit was brief. That's the nice thing about going early. Shortly, I should be a Californian. Well, at least in a documentation sense.

The fit, is just fine

Hmm, interesting, things fit.

My routine is getting arranged, and also I think it's time to explore the area and the people a bit more. I have to get some go in my boots to meet people.

Hopefully they will bring some interesting stories.

Yeah, I didn't have anything really written down for me to say. I made a list of key points, but it was pretty much whatever I wanted. Here is the stuff that came out, but not right.

That Darn California Sun

I was filming a video, with a summary of the California experience so far, but I ended up on a crazy speech about the sun. I'm editing that other video, but will post this in the meantime.

Slowly making friends

Today, I went over by Chapman University again, up in the city of Orange. Randi, invited me, he's that same guy that invited me to the Dance event. So far, so friendly, and slowly I am getting to meet some people.

I do quite love meeting people, and it makes me happy. I still miss my home crew. Y'all know who you are. :)

Well, it's late Eastern time, which means I should be sleeping. Miss all my peeps. Mom, miss ya, sis, miss ya. X0X0.

Desk, it's a desk, ohh, it's a desk!

That is my room. :)

I just got done assembling the desk, and also the chair. That was fun, with many parts.

I had to remind myself which way to turn the screw sometimes, left loosey, righty tighty. That is how it goes.

Ok, I am DONE, and I need to be going to sleep.

bad IKEA, good Computer

Today, I went to the quite so wonderful to shop around IKEA.

There was a lot of stuff, and I was happy and excited to pick my new desk.

I got it all picked, and even knew the places I would get everything, the day was happy.

I went downstairs, to get my brand new items...

Ohhh, what, the shelf is empty. My desk top is not there, the legs are there, but not the top. Okay, try backup desk, what, the color I want is not there. I think of another potential backup, but I'm just not feeling it at this point. I go home, eat chinese food.

Now, the good part is that my big computer is up and running again. I can hear it's wonderful fans just behind me. The big frog, there happy. Ohh yeah, and that is after being tussled and rumbled in the trunk of my car. Quit Amazing.

Ohh yeah, heh, that computer is Frog. My laptop is Turtle. My server is Wolf, my mom's computer is Sheep, and my sister's computer is Monkey.

My previous computer was Alpha Deluxe. I don't remember the names of the other ones, but I think one was named *Licious, or something of the sort.

Okay now, I shall resume shopping for a desk, some other day, until then... sleep.

Actually, it was just my mom's request, but still. Family wanted to see what I look like now, mainly because I got a new haircut, and my eyebrows done.

Well, that is how I look. Tada. hehehe.

Home sweet home, just needs a desk

Okay, so it's finally starting to feel homey, which I like

I got my main computer out of the car, and I'm cruising the craigslist ads for a nice desk. The logistics of transporation are a whoole other thing.

With a desk, and a chair, then it will trully feel like a room.

I got paid today, which is indeed great, and I opened a new bank account, and it's nice that I can get a bonus for opening it, since the bank is new in the area. It's the same bank I had in Georgia, so I know how things go. I get more bonus money if I do direct deposit. I will surelly be doing that, very soon, haha.

I made some connections, and might go and meet up with some new people this weekend, hopefully it will all go well. :)

A brand new bed & some BBQ

Ok, remember that bed I bought last week?

Yeah, it sucked. It slowly leaked air out, and every night, I woke up a bit funkier.

I got a brand new one, and this time, it's queen sized. Yeah, yeah, it makes the room seem smaller, but it's much much more comfortable, and if I ever have an overnight guest, it will be more manageable. :)

Sunday, I went and had some BBQ, that was interesting, brand new people, two Hispanic guys, and I also met two older ladies, one which was very friendly, and nice. I'm going there Sunday again, since they are celebrating a birthday.

Hopefully this will open the door for meeting new people. *crosses finger*

A, ha. Spirders be gone

So, moments ago, I was going all gunslinger on my room. Corner, *BAM*, crack *BAM*, around door frames *BAM*

I had spider spray, and a purpose, and man, I was purposing that purpose, hahaha. Hey, at least no roaches, whew...

Ohh landlordy

So here is a latest thing that has happened.

As everyone probably knows, my car body is a bit messed up from the accident I had some time ago. Here is the little problem I am having to deal with.

My landloard is a dealer, therefore, he has a problem with my car... As he put it "i'm a dealer, so it doesn't look good for me, to have a car like that in front of my house. So park somewhere else on the street, and not in front of my house"

So yeah, now I can't park directly in front of where I live, how peachy right?

Ugh, well, he did say if I get a quote, he can get me the part for abour $25, and labor at a 30% discount. Which considering things, is not that bad. Well, for now, I just will park somewhere else...
